Craig M. Kobza Speaks at the 2011 FMA Conference

By The Aerial Companies, Inc. - May 11, 2011

The Fenestration Manufacturers Association (FMA) is committed to researching, testing and publishing protocols designed as best management practices for the installation of windows and exterior doors in extreme wind and water conditions. FMA provides the conduit to legislators and state agency policy makers to affect positive change on issues concerning their members and our industry.

The FMA invited leaders in the industry, including Craig Kobza, to share best practices. Craig explained in great detail his experiences with window and door retrofit projects. He also emphasized the importance of proper structural attachments, proper waterproofing of the openings and the need for better collaboration between general contractors and window manufacturers in the field during the installation process. Craig’s technical expertise on this subject and building envelope sciences along with his experience with construction defect litigation kept the audience very attentive and focused. This type of collaboration results in better products, installation techniques and improvements to the Florida Building Code.

Craig M. Kobza, owner of The Aerial Companies, Inc., is available for speaking engagements regarding restoration, remediation, waterproofing, and building envelope science across all of Florida, including areas around Sarasota, Naples, Palm Beach Gardens, Boca Raton, Miami, Lantana, Cape Coral, and Tampa.
