Leaks through the pool shell and into the surrounding deck and wall system prompted this extensive remediation project which included the excavation of the pool shell tile and setting material, as well as the stone topping on the elevated decks surrounding the pool.

Brick and Grout Restoration - In Progress

Cornerstone Cancer Center - Tampa, Florida

Karins Engineering Group, Inc. specified products and procedures to restore the discolored brick to its original condition at the Cornerstone Cancer Center. We're using premium stain and stripping products manufactured by Cathedral Stone Products headquartered in Maryland. This project includes many detailed processes requiring a team of subject matter experts and we want to thank our crew, Project Manager Carlita Brady, Karins Engineering Group, Inc. and Cathedral Stone for their contributions to this challenging project.

Building Sealant Restoration

Florida Hospital - Orlando, Florida

The Florida Hospital is an 881-bed, acute-care community hospital using the latest technology to treat over 85,000 patients annually. We were the selected bidder by the engineering firm Williamson and Associates to install the unique 123 Pre-Formed Joint System by Dow Corning at both the ribbon windows and the panelized building system to solve water and air leak issues.

All goals were met, we want to thank the Florida Hospital and especially Dr. Lynn Smith who was the Engineer on staff, Guy Long the Consulting Engineer at Williamson and Associates, and our Dow Corning representative who was also a valuable asset to this project. SunTrust Financial Center - Ft. Myers, Florida

In February of 2005 we were called to the SunTrust Financial Center on College Avenue in Fort Myers for stucco repairs, granite building facade restoration and parking garage deck repairs and waterproofing. Upon initial inspection we found deteriorated sealants between the granite facade, delaminated stucco at the parking garage and some water intrusion below the parking garage deck. TIB Bank - Naples, Florida

During the summer of 2008 we were called to the TIB Bank near the intersection of Pine Ridge and Airport Rd. in Naples. There were various water leak issues mostly minor except for one area off the elevated deck at the Executive Office suites. Water was leaking in through an area at the ribbon window system and underneath the door threshold due to a failing deck waterproofing system and a negatively sloped deck. Seascape Condominium - Bonita Springs, Florida

This mid-rise condominium building, built in 1978, is nestled along the Gulf Coast of SW Florida was in great need of repair showing signs of severe structural deterioration. In 2002 we were chosen by the Board of Directors to restore a majority of the structural components of the buildings. Click on the video to follow the project from initial inspection in which we found severe concrete deterioration and structural weakening to substantial shoring and repairs of structural columns and tie beams, balcony deck post tension cables and slabs, and staircase restorations.
