Staff Members

We’ll provide a detailed contact list for those individuals assigned to your account, but in general, here are the roles and responsibilities of our “customer-facing” staff:

Craig M. Kobza - President and CGC
  • President, CEO – General Contractor Craig M. Kobza is owner, founder and qualifier of The Aerial Companies, Inc. which he established in 1981.   As President, Craig M. Kobza actively participates in both sales and operations.  He thoroughly enjoys helping customers resolve problems efficiently and permanently.  With almost 30 years of experience in specialty construction and remediation Craig M. Kobza Consulting, Inc. developed in 2001 as a natural progression of building quality, trusting relationships with customers. Mr. Kobza provides litigation support on construction defects cases and a portion of every day is dedicated to assisting owners and attorneys resolve complex cases.

  

Claudia Brooks, Vice President
  • Vice President – Claudia Brooks received her Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Information Systems from Georgia State University in 1984.  She oversees the office and office personnel, insurance issues, legal issues, and is the in-house Timberline Systems “expert”.  In addition, she works directly with the President developing budgets, and developing and implementing new procedures to increase efficiency, and improve customer service.

 

 

 

     
  • Contract Administrator -  Susan Brehm graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 1985 at Hofstra University, Hempstead, NY.  She is involved in all aspects of every contract – from proposal to change order management to project closeout. She interfaces with Sales, Estimating, Accounting, Project Management, Insurance, Legal, and the customer during the process with a focus on successful project completions as judged by all parties concerned.
     
  • Vice President - Ed Clark interacts with our customer base, develops job scopes and coordinates the field crews, project managers and foreman.  He also documents work performed and maintains the quality of work as well as the time scheduled to perform the work.  He is a waterproofing specialist which allows him to interact with our customers in solving their problems with water intrusion.  

  • Controller - Bethany Achberger received her BA in Accounting from the University of South Florida and has over 18 years of accounting experience. She is responsible for the accounting functions which include cash management, general ledger maintenance, accounts payable, and financial statement preparation.

  • Customer Billing - Sue Kubernat oversees the billing department and is responsible for putting all documents together for our customers invoicing. This includes matching time and material vouchers to our “real time” custom computer system, vendors invoices, and any equipment rentals for our jobs. Sue works hand in hand with our Project Managers and Superintendents in gathering all information that is needed for billing. She tracks the invoice payments and monthly statements for each customer as well.  She has been with Aerial since 2007 and prior to that she has over 17 years experience in hospital billing.

  • Estimator - Zach Kubernat has attended Florida Gulf Coast University, Valencia Community College in Orlando, and Edison College in Naples.  Zach been employed in various positions within The Aerial Companies since 2006.  As Chief Estimator, Zach manages the estimating department along with analyzing costs and budgets with operations and project managers.  He also maintains estimating software to increase efficiency and accountability.   

  • Project Managers – Your Project Manager will be your main point of contact.  They oversee and must approve all work performed.  They are responsible for the management of personnel and hire any subcontractors that may be necessary.  Usually the Estimator is the first person on our staff that you’ll meet.  They will log your requests, perform the initial inspection, provide quotes and contracts.   

  • Superintendents - will be responsible for on site supervision and management of the project.

  • Administrators – Our administrative staff is here to assist you with paperwork, including lien releases, insurance matters and billing.
